Olympique Lyonnais

Olympique Lyonnais was founded in 1950 when the football section of Lyon Olympique Universitaire, whose origins reach back to 1899, broke away as a separate club. Lyon won seven consecutive Ligue 1 titles between 2002 and 2008, a French record, along with five Coupes de France and eight Trophees des Champions. It reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2010 and 2020 and plays at the Groupama Stadium in Decines-Charpieu.
