Slavia Praha
Stadium :Fortuna Arena
Founded1892
Slavia was founded in Prague in 1892 as a literary and cycling society of students before turning to football, and it is the second most successful Czech club with 22 league titles, 11 domestic cups and the 1938 Mitropa Cup. Its ranks included Frantisek Planicka, who captained Czechoslovakia to the 1934 World Cup final, and Josef Bican, the most prolific goalscorer in the history of the game. Out of favour under communism, Slavia went from 1947 to 1996 without a championship; it plays in the Eden district and contests the Prague derby with Sparta.
