Boavista

Boavista was founded in Porto on 1 August 1903 by British businessmen and Portuguese textile workers and plays in trademark black-and-white chequered shirts. It is one of only two clubs outside the big three to have won the Portuguese championship, in 2000-01, and has taken five Portuguese Cups. Expelled from the Primeira Liga in 2025 on financial grounds, the club fell to the Porto district leagues; it plays at the Estadio do Bessa.
