Hamburger SV

HSV dates its history to SC Germania of 1887 and was formed in its present shape on 2 June 1919 by the merger of Germania with Hamburger FC and FC Falke. The club won six German championships, the Cup Winners' Cup in 1977 and the European Cup in 1983, beating Juventus in Athens. It was the only club to have played every season of the Bundesliga since 1963 until relegation in 2018, when the stadium clock counting that record was stopped.
