Sparta Praha

Sparta was founded in Prague in 1893 as AC Kralovske Vinohrady and took the Sparta name the following year. It is the most successful club in Czech football with a record 38 Czechoslovak and Czech league titles and 16 domestic cups, and it won the Mitropa Cup, the leading interwar continental competition, three times. Sparta reached the European Cup semi-final in 1992 and plays at the Letna stadium, now known as the epet Arena; its meetings with Slavia are the Prague derby.
