Morecambe

Morecambe was founded in 1920 and spent 48 years in the Lancashire Combination, winning it five times, before joining the Northern Premier League in 1968. It entered the Football League through the 2007 play-off final and reached League One in 2021, having never been relegated from any league until 2023. Financial collapse nearly closed the club in the summer of 2025 before a change of ownership cleared its debts.
