Bristol City

The club was founded in 1894 as Bristol South End, turned professional and became Bristol City in 1897, absorbing Bedminster FC three years later. City finished second in the First Division in 1907 and lost the 1909 FA Cup final to Manchester United, their high point. Ashton Gate has been home since 1904.
