FC Dallas

Founded in 1995 as the Dallas Burn, a charter Major League Soccer franchise that began play in 1996, and renamed FC Dallas in 2004. It has won the US Open Cup twice, in 1997 and 2016, took the Supporters' Shield in 2016 and lost the 2010 MLS Cup final to Colorado. The club left the Cotton Bowl in 2005 for the soccer-specific Toyota Stadium in Frisco and is known across North America for its productive youth academy.
