Coupe Mohammed V

An invitational club tournament played at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, normally over two days at the end of August. Moroccan sides — most often AS FAR and Wydad — met invited clubs from Europe and South America, among them Real Madrid, Internazionale, Bayern Munich, Boca Juniors, Peñarol and Flamengo; the 1977 edition invited the Romania and Czechoslovakia national teams instead. Each edition was two semi-finals, a third-place match and a final. Nineteen editions are recorded between 1962 and 1989.
