沙勒夫ASO队

Founded on 13 June 1947 as Association Sportive d'Orleansville by the city's Algerian Muslim community, as a rival to the existing European club Groupement Sportif Orleansville. After independence the city was renamed El Asnam and the club became Asnam Sportive Olympique, keeping the ASO initials, and changed again when the town was rebuilt as Chlef after the 1980 earthquake. It won the Algerian Cup in 2005 and its first league championship in 2011, and plays at the Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium.
