Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster Rovers were founded in 1879 and turned professional six years later, entering the Football League in 1901 but losing re-election twice before returning for good in 1923. The club won the Third Division North three times between 1935 and 1950 and the Fourth Division in 1966 and 1969. Relegated out of the League in 1998, Rovers came back through the Conference play-offs in 2003 and left Belle Vue for a new stadium in 2007.
