Espanyol

Espanyol were founded on 28 October 1900 by engineering students at the University of Barcelona as the Sociedad Espanola de Football, the first club in Spain set up entirely by Spaniards rather than by British residents, which is the origin of the name. Granted the title Real by Alfonso XIII in 1912, the club has won the Copa del Rey four times and lost two UEFA Cup finals. It left the Estadi de Sarria in 1997 and moved to Cornella-El Prat in 2009.
