Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht was founded in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht in 1908 and has played continuously in the Belgian top flight since 1935-36. It is the most decorated Belgian club with 34 championships and nine cups, including five titles in a row between 1964 and 1968. Anderlecht is also the most successful Belgian side in Europe, winning the Cup Winners' Cup in 1976 and 1978, the UEFA Cup in 1983 and two European Super Cups; it plays at the Lotto Park in Astrid Park.
