แอตเลติโก มาดริด - หญิง

Atletico Madrid's present women's section was created in 2001 out of the collapse of Coslada CF Femenino, on the initiative of coach Maria Vargas and goalkeeper Lola Romero. An earlier Atletico Villa de Madrid had won the Spanish league in 1990 before losing the club's financial backing and disappearing, and that title is not counted in the current team's honours. Atletico has won three consecutive league titles, two Copas de la Reina and a Supercopa, and holds the Spanish attendance record for a women's club match.
