IF Elfsborg

Founded on 26 June 1904 in Boras by a group of nineteen teenagers as Boras Fotbollslag, and renamed IF Elfsborg in 1906 using the archaic spelling of Alvsborg County; the yellow and black colours come from the Alvsborg Regiment. The club has won six Swedish championships and three Svenska Cupen titles and has spent most of its history in Allsvenskan. It has played at Boras Arena since April 2005, and its motto is "Vi Tillsammans".
