Malaga

The present Malaga CF was founded as Club Atletico Malagueno on 25 May 1948 and was reconstituted as a sporting company under its current name on 29 June 1994; the city's first club, Malaga FC, dates from 1904, so the club's true age is a matter of which entity is counted. Malaga won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2002 and reached the quarter-finals of the 2012-13 Champions League after finishing fourth in La Liga. It has been controlled since 2010 by the Qatari investor Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani and plays at La Rosaleda.
