Ренс

Founded on 18 June 1931 from the coming together of several Reims clubs, chief among them the Societe Sportive du Parc Pommery, a works club of the Pommery champagne house created in September 1910. Under coach Albert Batteux and with Raymond Kopa and Just Fontaine, Reims won six French championships and two Coupes de France between 1949 and 1962, and lost the European Cup final to Real Madrid in both 1956 and 1959. The club has played at the municipal ground now called the Stade Auguste-Delaune since 1934.
