Кьево Верона

Founded in 1929 to represent Chievo, a small village district of Verona, and reconstituted for the first time in 1948. It is the only Italian club to have climbed the entire pyramid from minor regional football to Serie A and European competition, finishing fifth on its 2001-02 debut and later reaching the UEFA Cup and the Champions League qualifiers. It vanished from professional football in 2021 and survived only as a youth set-up; in 2024 FC Clivense, founded three years earlier by former captain Sergio Pellissier, acquired the historic club's trademark and took over its sporting tradition.
