    SC Bastia

    Stadion :Stade Armand-Césari

    Fondat în1905

The Sporting has used 1905 as its founding year since the 2000s, when the club was said to have been started at the Cafe des Palmiers in Bastia by the Swiss teacher Hans Ruesch, but contemporary press from 1911 points to 1903 and French football historians now prefer that date. Bastia is the only Corsican club to reach a European final, losing the 1978 UEFA Cup final to PSV Eindhoven, and it won the Coupe de France in 1981 and the Intertoto Cup in 1997. Financial irregularities cost it its professional licence in 2017 and dropped it to the fifth tier; it plays at the Stade Armand Cesari in Furiani, where a temporary stand collapsed in 1992 killing eighteen people.
