Catania

Catania was founded in 1908 as Associazione Sportiva pro Educazione Fisica and has appeared seventeen times in Serie A, finishing eighth in the 1960s and again in 2012-13. The club has dissolved and reformed several times, most recently going bankrupt during the 2021-22 season and being reconstituted later that year to start again in Serie D, so its continuity is broken more than once. It plays at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.
