VfB Stuttgart

Stuttgart trace to a club formed in 1893 and took their present name after a 1912 merger. Five German championships have been won, in 1950, 1952, 1984, 1992 and 2007, the last two in dramatic final-day finishes. The club plays in Bad Cannstatt at the ground built for the 1993 World Athletics Championships and has a long record of promoting academy players.
