Bury FC

Bury were founded in 1885 at the Waterloo Hotel by the merger of two church sides, and won the FA Cup in 1900 and again in 1903, when their 6-0 win over Derby County set a record final margin that still stands. In August 2019, after 125 years of membership and mounting unpaid debts, Bury were expelled from the Football League. Supporters formed a phoenix club, and after a reunification agreement Bury FC returned to Gigg Lane in 2022 in the non-League pyramid.
