Udinese

Udinese trace their origins to a gymnastics and athletics society founded in Udine in 1896, making them one of the oldest clubs in Italy. Their best league finish, second place in 1955, was annulled and the club demoted for match-fixing. Owned by the Pozzo family since 1986, Udinese are known for a scouting network that has brought players from South America and Africa into Serie A; the Stadio Friuli has been home since 1976.
