AS Roma

Roma were created in July 1927 by the merger of three Rome clubs, Roman FC, Alba-Audace and Fortitudo-Pro Roma, at the instigation of the fascist official Italo Foschi, who wanted a single club capable of challenging the north; Lazio refused to join and remains separate. Roma have won three Serie A titles, in 1942, 1983 and 2001, and nine Coppa Italia. They share the Stadio Olimpico with Lazio, and the derby between them is the Derby della Capitale.
