Dundee United

Formed in 1909 as Dundee Hibernian by the city's Irish community, the club took the name Dundee United in 1923 and has played at Tannadice Park throughout its existence. United won their only league championship in 1982-83 under Jim McLean, added the Scottish Cup in 1994 and 2010 and the League Cup in 1979 and 1980, and reached the UEFA Cup final in 1987 after a European Cup semi-final in 1983-84. Known as the Terrors or the Tangerines, their supporters are nicknamed the Arabs.
