HNK Hajduk Split

Hajduk was founded on 13 February 1911 by a group of Split students who were studying in Prague and named after the hajduks, the outlaw fighters of Balkan folklore. It won nine Yugoslav championships and nine Yugoslav Cups before independence and has added six Croatian league titles and eight Croatian Cups since, reaching three European Cup quarter-finals. Hajduk has played at the Poljud since 1979, has never been relegated, and its Torcida, founded in 1950, is the oldest organised supporters' group in Europe.
