VfL Wolfsburg

VfL Wolfsburg was founded in 1945 as a multi-sport club for Volkswagen workers in the company town of Wolfsburg, and its professional football arm is still wholly owned by the Volkswagen Group. It won the Bundesliga in 2008-09 and the DFB-Pokal and Supercup in 2015. Wolfsburg has played at the Volkswagen Arena since 2002, and its women's team is one of the strongest in Europe.
