Brésil

The Brazil national team played its first official matches in 1914 and has been a member of FIFA since 1923 and a founder of CONMEBOL in 1916. It is the most successful side in World Cup history, with five titles in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002, and the only one to have appeared at every tournament. The 1970 team is widely regarded as the finest ever assembled, and the side is known at home as the Selecao and the Canarinho.
