Silkeborg IF

Silkeborg Idraetsforening was founded on 26 April 1917 in the central Jutland town of Silkeborg. Its footballers have been in the top Danish division almost continuously since 1988, winning the championship in 1994, finishing second in 1998 and taking the Danish Cup in 2001 and 2024. After a century at the old Silkeborg Stadion the club moved to the newly built JYSK Park, opened on 31 August 2017.
