NK Osijek

NK Osijek dates itself to 27 February 1947, when the sports society Proleter was formed by merging the Slavonija and Bratstvo societies, but the club traces its continuity back to SK Slavija, founded in Osijek on 27 June 1916 and closed down in 1941 during the war. It carried the name Slavonija from 1962 before settling on NK Osijek, was the Slavonian club with the most Yugoslav First League seasons, and is one of only four clubs never relegated from the Croatian top flight. It won the Croatian Cup in 1999 and left the Gradski vrt for the new Opus Arena in 2023.
