Brondby IF

Brondby IF was formed on 3 December 1964 by the merger of Brondbyoster IF, founded in 1928, and Brondbyvester IF, founded in 1909, in the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It became the dominant Danish club of the late 1980s and 1990s, winning ten league titles between 1985 and 2005, adding another in 2021, and reaching the UEFA Cup semi-final in 1991, still the best European run by a Danish side. Brondby was the first Danish club to float on the stock exchange and contests the New Firm derby with FC Copenhagen.
