کارلایل یونایتد

Carlisle United was formed in 1904 and is the English league club closest to the Scottish border, playing at Brunton Park since 1909 and nicknamed the Cumbrians. Elected to the Football League in 1928, it won promotion to the First Division in 1974 and briefly topped the table before relegation after a single season. The club has since moved repeatedly between the lower divisions and dropped out of the League in 2004 and again in 2025.
