سال تأسیس1957
Cerezo Osaka descends from the Yanmar Diesel works team founded in Osaka in 1957, which won the Japan Soccer League four times and the Emperor's Cup three times in the 1970s with Kunishige Kamamoto. It was renamed Cerezo Osaka when it joined the J.League in 1995; cerezo is Spanish for cherry tree, the flower of the city. The club added a fourth Emperor's Cup in 2017 along with the League Cup and two Super Cups, and its academy produced Shinji Kagawa, Takumi Minamino and Hiroshi Kiyotake.
