آستریا وین

Founded on 29 October 1910 by former players of the Vienna Cricket and Football-Club as the Wiener Amateur-Sportverein, and admitted to the Austrian federation on 16 November; it was later renamed Austria. It has been in the top division without a break since the Austrian championship began in 1911, a record shared only with Rapid Vienna, and its 24 league titles and 27 cups are Austrian records. Historically the bourgeois, intellectual counterweight to working-class Rapid, it won the Mitropa Cup in 1933 and 1936 and reached the 1978 Cup Winners' Cup final; it is nicknamed die Veilchen, the violets, after its colours.
