آولینو

The first football club in Avellino was founded on 12 December 1912, and the present company carries that year in its name. It played ten seasons in Serie A, ten years running from 1978 to 1988, with eighth place in 1986-87 as its best. Declared bankrupt by the Avellino court in 2010 and struck off the federation register in February 2011, it was reconstituted under new companies and recovered the old name and badge in 2015, so its continuity with the 1912 club is one of tradition rather than of law.
