UEFA Intertoto Cup

A summer competition introduced in 1961 to give the pools coupons something to carry through the football-free months. It ran without UEFA as the International Football Cup, lost its knockout stage after 1967 and continued as a group competition; UEFA revived it in 1995 as a route into the UEFA Cup and discontinued it after 2008.
