Hartlepool United

Founded in 1908 as the Hartlepools United Football & Athletic Club Company Ltd, and in 1910 it took over the assets and liabilities of West Hartlepool, winners of the 1905 FA Amateur Cup, when that club was dissolved. Elected to the Football League in 1921, it spent 37 seasons in the Third Division North, and was renamed Hartlepool in 1968 after local government reorganisation and Hartlepool United in 1977. It lost its Football League place in 2017 after 96 years and plays at Victoria Park.
