Al Ahly SC

Al Ahly was founded in Cairo on 24 April 1907 as a club for Egyptian students active in the nationalist movement; its name means the national. It is the most decorated football club in the world, with a record 45 Egyptian league titles, 39 Egypt Cups and a record 12 CAF Champions League titles, and CAF voted it African club of the twentieth century. Al Ahly plays in red at the Cairo International Stadium and its meetings with Zamalek form the Cairo derby, one of the most heavily policed fixtures in the game.
