Sheffield United

United were founded in 1889 by the committee of Sheffield United Cricket Club to make winter use of Bramall Lane, a ground that had staged cricket since 1855. The Blades won the league in 1898 and the FA Cup in 1899, 1902, 1915 and 1925. Bramall Lane, still their home, is among the oldest grounds in the world in continuous use for football.
