Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves trace to St Luke's, a school team formed in Blakenhall in 1877, which merged with the Blakenhall Wanderers cricket club two years later to take the present name. League champions three times in the 1950s under Stan Cullis, the club staged floodlit friendlies against Honved and Spartak Moscow that helped prompt the creation of the European Cup. Molineux has been home since 1889.
